Flares and Triangles

« Posted by Pat Franczyk on February 24, 2010 »

It took me a few days, but to the best of my knowledge, I have found the most consistently affordable website for automobile safety products.

Northern Tool is your best bet. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

But of course, that will never happen.

If you read my earlier post on the importance of an emergency roadside kit for your family car or 18 wheeler, you will know that I am personally motivated to secure your safety, having suffered the raw and recent loss of a co-worker in the transportation department of the Toronto film and television industry.

Ashleigh was only 37 years old, and full of a lust for life. A transport truck stalled just over the crest of a hill due to electrical failure. No lights, in the dark on a lonely, snowy stretch of northern Ontario highway.

Ashleigh’s own transport truck slammed right into the back end of it, killing her instantly. Thanks for the roadside flares boys.

Flares should have been set on the crest of the hill, at least. It is a little late to see a flare if it is set up behind a vehicle that is just over the crest of a totally blind hill. Not that any flares or triangles were set up. They would have saved a good friend’s life.

So please guys, buy some inexpensive, reliable flares or triangles from Northern Tool.com.

Don’t be a tool. Or a fool. Or a foolish tool.

Okay, that’s probably enough out of me.

Take care.

Pat.
