Milk Thistle Rules!
Oh yes it does. That stuff in unbelievable. More to the point; the fact that I quit drinking except for one drink as a toast at a christening or at Christmas did not result in my liver getting the rest it needed and the promised regeneration. I suppose my diet was still too rich, but no-one mentioned that little issue.
Liver health and diet has become the subject of a recent television commercial. I wish I had realised this many alcohol-free years ago.

I noticed that my once in a blue moon singular imbibements were still resulting in temporary edema in my left ankle. I was not pleased. Years of temperance, and obviously my liver was no better for it.
I knew that milk thistle was supposed to be an excellent, natural kidney cleanser, so after twenty years of discovering at Christmas time that my liver was no better than the year before, i started to take milk thistle.
Lo and behold, no more edema. Ta Da!
