When I first read that the Canadian company Upaya Naturals provided online customers with raw food delights, I wondered what kind of idiot can’t just buy a raw carrot from the local food store and eat it. Even if you are a shut-in, local stores deliver, so where is the market for Upaya Naturals?

Silly me. Upaya Naturals provides online shoppers with hard to find, all natural, vegan cheeses and ice creams that actually taste good while providing lots of nutrients. They arrive on ice to your very doorstep, where you can be waiting, crackers in hand, or spoon in fist, in eager anticipation of the yummy, delectable treats that are being delivered to your home.

Cashew-based Ice Cream. It tastes like dairy ice cream, without the guilt.

If you find the wait too exciting, be sure to order aromatherapy essential oils that calm the nerves, and smell divine.

Get all of your favourite blender recipes at the ready also. Upaya Naturals carriesVitamix and Blendtec blenders, the cadillac of blenders/juicers on the market today. You can prepare bread mixtures, and soups, as well as smoothies and ice creams, without having to fiddle with numerous attachments. Push a button and you are off to the races.

The Vitamix Deluxe 5200 is touted as the best blender on the market, but the following videos offer conflicting evidence in this regard. You can also buy Vitamix at your friendly neighbourhood Costco store, if interested. You can save yourself the shipping fees that way, as they are presently on sale, and therefore cost the same as ordering from the company online. Ask for a demo before you buy.

The Vitamix Blendtec Kitchen Aid Challenge. You decide. The facts in these two videos conflict. Kitchen Aid is far less expensive and appears to do the trick.

The Vitamix Blendtec Challenge.

Why pay for Blendtec or for Vitamix if Kitchen Aid is just as efficient, if not moreso? And it’s half the price at $199.00 How do they all fare with breadmaking? We want more tests please, before we take a Vitamix home!

Upaya Naturals also carries Superfoods, Greens etc. that are vegan-friendly. Power up so that you will have th strength inyour arms to lift that spoonful of healthy cashew-based ice cream to your lips, over and over again. After all, you have many delectable flavours to try. You need muscle mass.

So please, do yourself a favour and check out Upaya Naturals’ website.

I can hardly wait to try the cashew-based ice creams. I have never tried them before, but everyone says that they are great. I know that there are some almond and soy-based ice creams that are out there these days that are absolutely delicious. I wonder if the cashew-based ice creams give them a run for their money?

And don’t forget to brush your teeth! Yep. Upaya Naturals carries healthy, flouride-free tooth cleansers also. And skincare products. And the kitchen sink. Okay, everything but.

Speaking of the kitchen sink. Upaya Naturals carries one of, if not the best, water filtration systems on the market today: Wellness Kitchen S-III Filtration. This countertop water filtration system can also be easily mounted under the sink with the purchase of an adapter kit. What is most wonderful about this Wellness filtration system is that trace mineral that we need for our health are added back to the water supply after filteration has occurred. If you are concerned about pharmaceuticals, heavy metals and fecal matter making it into your drinking and bathing water, this filtration system will give you the quality of water and the peace of mind you need.

Unless, of course, you enjoy all those pharmaceuticals in your water!

Perhaps we could just bottle it and sell it ourselves to those chronics residing in families that have purchased water filters.

Hmmm.

Just an evil, entrepreneurial thought.

I don’t care what scare tactics are used to stop you from using properly made colloidal silver; the stuff cleared up a terrible sinus infection that I had tried to alleviate for an agonising two years using traditional methods. It also cleared up a flu virus going around on the film set where I was working, after everyone had tried traditonally prescribed antbiotics to no avail.

I am not denying that misuse of impoperly made colloidal silver will turn you dark blue or slate grey. At that point you can join the Blue Man group or be Sideshow Bob, with a guaranteed income for life. Not so bad.

But made properly by someone who knows what they are doing, and then used sparingly in a spray bottle directed at the back of the throat and spritzed five to six times when symptoms are at their most annoying, did the trick for me and my fellow film crew flu sufferers. Safe dosages are said to be 50 meg or less. Size of the colloids is said to matter even more than the amount. Colloids refers to the silver particles suspended in water.

Out of all the people that tried the colloidal silver in desperation on set, only one person did not feel any relief. The rest of us bounced back on our feet in no time flat. Relieved flu symptoms in minutes, gone in one or two days. After weeks of suffering and reinfection.

I am not kidding.

If it had been a placebo effect, the numbers would not have been that staggering. If you are worried about heavy metal poisoning, take burdock tea or Essiac or Floressence once a week to prevent a build-up.

These teas remove heavy metals, I am told. Always check with a health practitioner, however. Obviously, they had better have some actual knowledge of alternative medicine or they will not help you along this road.

Teas which do heavy metal detox don’t discriminate, so you had better put the trace minerals back in your body with a mineral supplement if you do use any of the aforementioned detox teas.

I found a site a few years ago that stated that 98 per cent of sinus infections are actually yeast infections. This would explain why my symptoms were always aggravated when I made pizza from scratch or with bought dough for the film crews on my hot, stainless steel sweat box of a truck with poor ventilation. Yeast spores central.

A dentist acquaintance suggested trying colloidal silver. He said that dentists were taught about the efficacy of colloidal silver with regard to clearing up sinus infections while attending dental medical school. I looked at this stuff that just looked like water, tasted like water, smelled like water, and gave it a go.

Stop if you get a metallic taste in your mouth. You’ve had a little more than enough for that time period.

I’ve used it for over five years, periodically when I have felt an illness coming on, or a tooth infection, or sinus infection, and away they have gone. I kid you not.

I hope that I am not talking until I am literally blue in the face here. But so far, the only thing that is going grey is my hair.

Don’t make your own colloidal silver, unless you have been properly trained to do so.

So just don’t.

I would use it when you need it, which, for most people, will be when tradtional antibiotics let you down.

Check with a qualified alternative health practitioner. Or keep suffering, baby. It’s your choice.

All I can say is that colloidal silver works for me, my friends and my animals. I can’t afford dental surgery for my cats and dogs, but the colloidal silver gets rid of infections like a charm.

My dogs names are “Blue” and “Smokey” and my cats are “Smudge”, “Cobalt” and “Slate Grey Kitty”. I haven’t noticed any colour changes in them, so I must be safe.

Just joking.

Colloidal silver has been used to get rid of systemic yeast infections that have not responded to tradtional treatment. Colloidal silver has been observed to stop cancer cells dead in their tracks on recent studies with mice and men. People are worried that overuse might cause kidney damage, fatigue and headaches. And blueness. And greyness. I am certain that it can.

Overuse of anything, particularly in the wrong dosage, is usually a problem. I understand that turning orange temporarily from eating too many carrots is not a big deal, and being rendered permanently slate grey is, but I know families that have been using this stuff for years, sparingly, in the appropriate strength, and they are just fine.

Colloidal silver is purported to be a broad spectrum antibiotic, killing upwards of 160 plus types of bacteria. It also kills viruses and cancer cells. The FDA claims that it doesn’t do anything, but my own emperical results and those of many of my friends and acquaintances beg to differ.

There is a website called Natural News.com (www.naturalnews.com), which lists a page-full of reports, books and studies on the research being done on colloidal silver around the world, as well as the current arguments regarding its efficacy and safety. Please check it out.

I get my colloidal silver from a lady who became a naturopath here in Ontario. One of her children has cystic fibrosis, and she uses this product to keep the rest of her family free of bacteria and viruses that could kill her child. Even the simplest cold could take the child down, so this mother researched ways and means of maintaining the health and reducing the contagiousness of her family. They have all been taking the recommended safe dosage of colloidal silver on a regular basis for years, and no-one has turned blue or grey yet.

Check out Herbal Remedies.com. They carry everything.
