Pets Eat Lead Too!
And don’t forget about Fluffy, Muffy, Cottontail and Peter! That’s right, your pets. Who drinks out of the lead-laden ceramic toilet bowl on a regular basis in your house — that you know of?
Puppy and kitty, that’s who. And Uncle Peter.
It’s too late for Uncle Peter; the damage has been done.
But Fluffy and Muffy have a chance, and Cottontail wasn’t stupid enough of a rabbit to attempt such a feat.
Who plays with red rubber balls, kongs, and chewy bones made in China, again, apart from Uncle Peter? The Fido patrol. Red goes with lead, as does yellow. Hardest colours to stabilize in the paint and plastics community, without the presence of lead. Same in ceramics.
But right now, let’s get back to Fido.
Symptoms lead poisoning. (Funny verbiage without prepositions or conjunctions gets me web traffic. Sorry, gotta do it, or I’m talking to myself, again.)

Dogs and cats may indeed just get nasty as they get older. But a sudden or gradual change in temperament can, and often is, because of lead poisoning from pet toys, toilets and ceramic water bowls. Lead builds up in the system, reaching a critical mass, one could say. Suddenly, Fido is more like Ghengis Khan on a bad day.
Maybe Ghengis had lead poisoning. Poor Ghengis. So misunderstood.
The guy was a raving lunatic.
So was his horse.
But I digress. Back to: symptoms lead poisoning.
Or, or and/or; Fido or Kitty will have kidney problems. It’s not necessarily old age people; it is lead poisoning from lead-leaching toys and bowls that has finally maxed out.
Avoid lead poisoning in the doggy community. Put down the toilet seat.
Test the toys.
Test the bowls.
It costs you pennies and may give your pet a better quality of life or save it from becoming an unpredictable vicious biter, like Uncle Peter.
There are places we can put Uncle Peter, but your pet is going to be put down.
I have a company, National Lead Test, which carries the Homax LeadCheck Swabs. If I spell it Homax Lead Check Swabs, with a space, which is entirely incorrect, I get more traffic to my website! Just leave a comment if you would like me to send you a kit. Same price as Homax. Just from me, the one who cares about you.
Note the teeth; fluoride-free.
As for water and lead; in Canada, please contact your local, provincial or federal government before purchasing a lead test kit for water testing. The plumbing is so old and lead-ridden in so many of our communities that the local government is offering free water tests to everyone in order to determine how widespread and how bad the threat of lead poisoning from our municipal water supplies actually is.
Hybrivet makes a great test kit for detecting lead contaminants in water. — For those not fortunate enough to be living in a community thought to be riddled with leaching lead piping.
